DAPHNE DU MAURIER T-Shirt | Girls on Tops × Women's Prize for Fiction

DAPHNE DU MAURIER T-Shirt | Girls on Tops × Women's Prize for Fiction
A woman of feeling does not easily give way. You may call it pride, or tenacity, call it what you will. ― Daphne du Maurier
As part of their mission to champion women writers on a global stage, we’re launching a special collaboration with the Women’s Prize Trust: five T-shirts emblazoned with the names of celebrated female authors who have changed the world: Maya Angelou, Nora Ephron, Daphne du Maurier, Toni Morrison, Virginia Woolf.
Daphne du Maurier was an English author, biographer and playwright best known for her novels My Cousin Rachel and the psychological thriller Rebecca, which still sells around 4,000 copies a month 80 years after its publication. Many of her works were adapted for film and television, such as Alfred HItchcock’s The Birds and the 1973 film Don’t Look Now. As the obituarist Kate Kellaway put it: "Du Maurier was a mistress of calculated irresolution. She did not want to put her readers' minds at rest. She wanted her riddles to persist. She wanted the novels to continue to haunt us beyond their endings."
