VIRGINIA WOOLF T-Shirt | Girls on Tops × Women's Prize for Fiction

VIRGINIA WOOLF T-Shirt | Girls on Tops × Women's Prize for Fiction
Clothes are but a symbol of something hid deep beneath.―Virginia Woolf
As part of their mission to champion women writers on a global stage, we’re launching a special collaboration with the Women’s Prize Trust: five T-shirts emblazoned with the names of celebrated female authors who have changed the world: Maya Angelou, Nora Ephron, Daphne du Maurier, Toni Morrison, Virginia Woolf.
Virginia Woolf is one of the most important modernist 20th-century authors and a pioneer in the use of stream of consciousness as a narrative device. Her best-known works include novels Mrs Dalloway, To the Lighthouse, and Orlando, which is heralded as a masterpiece of modernist queer fiction. Her essays explore artistic theory, literary history, women’s writing, and the politics of power – in A Room of One's Own she wrote the much-quoted dictum: "A woman must have money and a room of her own if she is to write fiction." Her writing has influenced contemporary authors and been adapted across many forms, including film, ballet, opera, drag, and theatre.
